July 2006

It's been ages since I last updated this blog. I can hardly get on the computer these days...there is very little time when the girls are awake, especially since it reminds Cambria that she wants to play Dora games on the Nick Jr. website.

Cambria is 3 years old! Where did the past three years go? We had a wonderful time with family last week. Thursday, the 6th, we took Cambria to Six Flags for the first time. She rode all kinds of kids' rides and can't stop talking about it. Uncle Greg took her on a kids' roller coaster and taught her to raise her hands and scream. Now, she thinks that every car ride is a roller coaster ride and likes to squeal when we go down hills (thanks, Greg). Here was her prayer tonight, which she prays everynight since visiting Six Flags:
"Dear Lord, I love you so much. Thank you for Six Flags and all the rides...for the roller coaster with Uncle Greg...and going to Six Flags yesterday (even though it was last week). Thank you for understanding us. Thank you for food. Amen." She is a very sweet little girl.

On July 4th, Avery started crawling, pulling up to a stand and cruising a small amount. Ever since she has not stopped moving. She's into everything, especially everything that Cambria doesn't want her to touch. Avery is also not content crawling...she is mostly focused on standing and cruising. She only crawls when necessary to get somewhere. I thought that Cambria walked early at 10 months, but Avery may walk at 9 months. We'll see.
