One more thing...

Many of you have heard about our sleep woes with Avery. She slept through the night about 7 times during the first 17 months of her life. Well, about two weeks ago we had tubes put in her ears and she has slept through the night almost every night since. Praise God!!!! We truly appreciate the life changing effects of the small little tubes in her ears. They have transformed our lives.

A Fun Saturday!

Today was a fun day with the girls. We've been out of town the last few weekends so it was nice to have a weekend in Princeton with our family. Jeff has a two big papers to complete, but he managed to break away from Spears Library for an outing to the annual Princeton Communiversity. It's a street fair put on by Princeton University to bring the university together with the larger Princeton community, thus the name, Communiversity. It was fun event with plenty of great crafts for kids. Cambria did some water painting at the Community Arts booth-- her painting is below. The triangles are mountains but she has given each of them legs and arms. The woman at the booth was impressed by Cambria's picture..she said that Cambria must have had the picture in her mind since she was so deliberate in the way she painted it. We may have a little artist on our hands.

Cambria making a frame at the senior appreciation get-together this afternoon.

Some of the kids who will be moving this next year, minus Evan. The Zirschkys are staying on for a PhD.

Reading with Daddy

Avery RARELY sits down, so moments like these are precious.

Finally a little hair

Avery's hair is starting to come in, and she's beginning to look like a little girl. I can finally pull a little into a small ponytail on the head and add a bow. In fact, if I forget the bow, then she will come asking me for one.

Swim lessons

Cambria started swim lessons this past week. She is taking the YMCA class at the Seminary pool down the street from us. Her friends Moriah (right) and Evan are also in the class. This week they focused on blowing bubbles and kicking their feet.

A Little Girl Emerges

Spring is here and the reality that Avery is no longer a baby has hit us. She is almost 18 months, says small sentences, sings complicated tunes, and thinks that she can climb anything Cambria can.

She really is a hoot!

A Taste of Summer

Earlier this week we had some very warm weather. The neighbor kids pulled out the slip n' slide, and the girls had a blast.

Avery loved drinking the water.

Build-A-Bear

The girls with Keith & Julie, our neighbors. They gave the girls gift certificates to Build-A-Bear last November. We finally used the certificates this weekend. Cambria picked out a lamb...Avery a little kitty.

Snow Day

Wheeeeee!!! Avery loved sledding down the small hill behind our house.

Cambria did a great job sledding down the hill by herself.

Sumo Avery! She had a great time walking around in the inch of snow we had today. We've had a VERY cold, but wimpy snow winter. But, I have to say that today was a good snow day -- it was cold, but there was no wind and the roads were clear. Yesterday was brutal (that one is for you, Ami) -- there was MAJOR wind along with 15 degree weather! We're ready for winter to go away!
